Leonor de la Vega
Curtis Fornadley
|
Leonor's thoughts on her art: For me, life is diverse, beautiful, fragile, and sacred. I want to give voice to the beauty that lies hidden or discarded. On a deeper level, I see it as a way to show how we sometimes overlook our own feelings, emotions, and desires. The opportunity to reclaim a piece of nature and give it a whole new life, brings me great pleasure. I feel I not only honor the natural world, but celebrate it as it holds the potential to transform us in so many ways. I love the ritual of bringing into being. In this way, the masks are like votives, or wishes, and a celebration of life, of victory over adversity.

“There are two types of music: music I like and music I don’t like”. This genre inclusive approach has exposed Curtis Fornadley to a wide variety of music. Distilled over time, these influences have emerged and helped shape his unique musical voice. The primary vehicle of his musical expression is the guitar. Starting with classical guitar at the age of 11, Curtis has spent his life dedicated to learning, creating and pushing the boundaries of the guitar and his music. To the new listener his guitar driven music sounds like Rock but quickly the currents of Jazz, Blues, Surf, and Country can be heard along with the common thread that ties them all together: great melodies, virtuosity, and soulful playing. In June 2023 Curtis released “A Half Step Away“, his 6th full album. https://curtisguitar.com/a-half-step-away/ Live performances: https://curtisguitar.com/shows Curtis' Website: https://curtisguitar.com Guitar Radio Show: https://guitarradioshow.com/episode-362-top-20-guitar.../ |
