In this interview he elaborates on all these things he does! I am in awe of his comics and I saw his play "Crude". It was fantastic! Videos and lots of the pictures of the things he talks about are included in this show. You've probably seen some of my videos from Wondercon 2024. They were shot when I actually went out to Dave's booth at the event to see what all he had there and what he was up to! He shows us all his comics and more and talks about the event! One of the many things I love about acting is that you never know what kind of situation you will be in, and you never know who you are going to meet. Hence, the day that Roger Parham-Brown and I met working together on the set of a movie. We had such warm and meaningful conversations that day. He and I have continued to do that ever since. Another Highlight of my 7th Show with Marty McCambridge
I enjoyed Marty's show so much that I had to share one more highlight video where she performs "Mardi Gras in New Orleans"! And you know, watching this again it got me to thinking about banjos and how long they've been around. I found this on Wikipedia. "In the 19th century, interest in the instrument was spread across the United States and United Kingdom by traveling shows of the 19th century minstrel show fad, followed by mass-production and mail-order sales, including instruction method books. The inexpensive or home-made banjo remained part of rural folk culture, but 5-string and 4-string banjos also became popular for home parlor music entertainment, college music clubs, and early 20th century jazz bands." And there's a bit of banjo history for you.

Jeff Millar-Sax is one of most talented and kindest people I know. He is including his musician friends and his other various contacts in creating a way to financially assist people who are dealing with what is involved in cancer treatments. On a musical note, his knowledge of rock band history and various band members is through the roof! I loved finding out about various musicians who have played with A list artists but who you may not know of because they aren't out front. A number of these musicians have contributed their talents and time to his fund-raising CD "Giving Shelter". On top of this, he's fun, Jeff has entertaining stories and he shares his musical talent with us! In this episode he plays and sings 3 of his original songs. One will make you giggle! 7th Show, Segment 3 with Marty McCambridge
Here comes the 3rd part of my show with Marty McCambridge. In this Segment she totally gets carried away. What I mean bu that is that she does 2 performances, yes two! She reads a scene from her one woman show "Nordic Princess Breaks the Ice" and then she plays her banjo and sings. Her songs are toe tappin' and also very heartfelt with a story about how one of the songs was written.
I want to mention that she and she husband Mike are producing and directing an up and coming show at ELATE. It's called "Recommended Reading For Girls". The question: “What would you do if a character from your favorite book was waiting for you in your home to have a chat?” will be answered. Many years ago I was going to see a musical presented by ELATE (Emmanuel Lutheran Actors Theater Ensemble) and a friend of mine said that she was so excited because Marty McCambridge was going to be in the show! The show was "Mystery of Edwin Drood" in 2002. I didn't know Marty at that time and she was fantastic! My friend was so right and I've enjoyed seeing Marty on stage in many productions since that time! She and I have performed together too since that time. Marty McCambridge and I met through the theater group, ELATE (Emmanuel Luther Actors Theater Ensemble) a number of years ago. We've been on stage together a few times! She is an amazing person. Multi talented and willing to try pretty much anything. In this show we talk about acting and so much more. PIlar's passions are many but right now she is focusing on writing and jewelry making. In this Segment of her show she demonstrates how she makes gorgeous pieces of jewelry. Her jewelry is for sale, BTW, and if you are interested in purchasing a piece contact her via her email which is on the "About The Guests" page. In this demonstration she creates an earring. I didn't realize that when you make one earring that the other should match perfectly and that making it match is indeed at art! She twists wire and puts it together with such ease and perfection that I am in awe! Join us as we continue to have a great time doing this!

Like other things such as painting or even waiting tables, there is a reason I don't do hair! I remember as a child my friend and I decided that I would trim her long beautiful hair. I was behind her and it kept looking crooked so I kept cutting trying to make it straight across the bottom. By the time we were done, her hair was really short and neither of our moms were happy! That was the end of my hair career. I defer to experts like Chrissy who have talent and the knowledge to make hair look fabulous! Here is a highlight from the end of her show.

This is the demonstration part of Leonor de la Vega's show. We are in her studio where she creates these fabulous animals. She shares with us how she goes about it and the different aspects of what's involved. Turns out that it's very involved and it takes a while. I asked her how she knows when she has finished a piece and she said that it's when she will sit and stare at it for about 10 minutes. I'm telling you though, I could stare at these all day! I consider it a privilege to have spent time with her while she does her art!

My guest on this show is artist, Leonor de la Vega! She and I had been out of touch for a number of years but we were friends on Facebook. I saw her gorgeous paintings of animals on palm fronds and they took my breath away. So I reached out to her and she agreed to be on my show. It's wonderful that she and I are back in touch! And having her on my show is such a gift. I know absolutely nothing about painting especially on something that isn't a standard canvas. When I was watching the closeup of his hand with the pick, I noticed that he was playing with both the pick and his fingers. I asked him about that and he said that's called "Hybrid Picking". I didn't know you could do that. I thought it was one or the other. I was thinking about the concentration and skill it must take to do this. Here is the 3rd Promo for "Creativity Inside And Out". I talk about why I'm qualified to do this show. For my friends who went to CSUN, this was shot on campus over by the Performing Arts Center. If you know Mitch Plessner from our college days, he shot and edited all these promos. And if you look way behind me, you will see a squirrel. I bring this up because in the 2nd episode that is coming up, we were photo bombed by a lizard on a wall. It seems as though "wildlife" wants to be part of the show.
